MOBO MeView + TweetView

So basically I started writing notes for my MeView. If you haven't experienced a MeView (my view on a performance/concert) click here . It was going well until, well, Twitter became more interesting. I hardly watched the TV because I spent my time copy and pasting funny quotes from Twitter. I always tell people about the jokes I get from my timeline. Today I'm snitching on everyone I follow with a public account. (Disclaimer: YOU may have a private account but if it got RT'd by someone on my timeline with a funny tweet, then you are in here) Oh and one more (Disclaimer: I only realised the fact some may have private accounts long after. Apologies in advance. Holla at me and I'll remove your tweet). I'd like to thank all of you, my unaware Tweeting contributors. Here goes the MeView x TweetView (snitchin'). I DON'T NECESSARILY AGREE WITH EVERY TWEET/OPINION. IF I THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY OR INTERESTING I'VE POSTED IT. SOME I AGREE WITH, SOME I DON'T, ALL ...

20:10 20/10/2010 = MOBO Awards

Yeah blaad it's that time of the year for one of the most talked about (or do I mean heavily debated/criticised) awards. Everyone seems to have an opinion on it. I do think they are sometimes judged more for what they aren't doing without consideration for the positives. Last year, for instance, was a good show in my opinion. Celebrated a lot of UK acts, we didn't care about the Yanks apart from how good Keri Hilson looked. What do most people remember it for? UK funky artists performing by tables and Tinchy Stryder's outburst on twitter about not winning anything. This year the nominations are quite accurate if you ask me. What were people talking about? There isn't a Best DJ category. Yes, the same DJ category they cuss every year for being biased. Not to say getting rid of it is the right thing to do mind you. I do think they should do a Best Independent Act though. The MOBO tour itself was represented with indies Donaeo, Mz Bratt and Maverick Sabre. Throw P Mone...

MOBO Aftermath

If you read this expecting a UK Funky Live review mach II, you'll be disappointed. Still good but erase that from your mind now, then proceed to read! MOBO's took place last night in Glasgow's SECC. Usually produces many talking points. We all cuss the awards but watch it every year. I compared the MOBO's to watching Mike Tyson hoping he'll be that ferocious fighter again. Then I realised it was more like Audley Harrison and hoping they just get their act together for once. We all saw it, so this is just my take on the event. Keri Hilson looked banging!!! Did she present well? Hardly remember her presenting. Didn't embarrass herself at all. Reggie Yates? Hmm... not sure I take him seriously. He's like the corny established guy at work who mainly goes around with the managers but thinks he cool 'cos he knows a couple slang terms (and 'cos he has melanin he can be around the urban crew). Sorry mate, I see your facade. Didn't do badly, just reminds...

MOBO Nominations 2009 - My prediction

Tonight sees the announcement of the nominations for the annual (what year are we now?) MOBO awards which will take place in Glasgow, Scotland. *vinyl scratches and music stops* Yes, Scotland! Official line is they are taking it on the road until 2012. Yeah right, that doesn't sit right with me. Since when did MOBOs become an ambassador for sports and 2012? Stop the jokes, I didn't even lol behind my screen with a straight face. What you really mean is no embarrassment brought on from booin in a far from capacity crowd by unruly Londoners who probably blagged their way in for discounted prices anyway you bastards!!! In addition to that, the Scots will possibly be much more appreciative of seeing their favourite black artists. It's a bit far though isn't it Well it isn't quite my predictions, mainly because I cannot remember the categories but what I can guarantee is that Tinchy, N-Dubz, Chipmunk, Master Shortie and Bashy will be up for Best UK male (if there is s...
